    Veil Magic: Secrets of a Silk Whisperer

    Aziza guides dancers to see the veil as an extension of the body, moving with confidence, ease, and magic. She shares the tips, tricks, and subtle details that go beyond choreography, helping you find your own magic. The class begins with foundational concepts and technique, then applies them to Aziza’s latest creative silk veil choreography.

    2-4 p.m.


    Dynamic Drum Solo with Aziza
    Get ready for a fun, sweaty, and challenging class! Aziza leads dancers through creative combinations, tricky isolation puzzles, and big, expressive shimmies, all with her signature flair and humor. Expect to push your technique, play with rhythm, and leave with an audience pleasing choreography!

    The Sound of Bellydance: Hasan Abou El Seoud's Musical Legacy
    Explore the profound influence of Hasan Abou El Seoud, one of the most significant composers in the bellydance world. Known for his collaborations with iconic artists like Farid al-Atrash, Ahmed Adiwaya, and Sabah, Abou El Seoud crafted timeless tracks such as Shik Shak Shok, Bint Al Sultan, and Salumet Om Hasan. In this class, we'll delve into his compositions, understanding their impact on the evolution of bellydance music and why every dancer should be familiar with his work. Part lecture and fun movement!

  • Sunday August 9

    11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    Frames, Fluidity & Finesse with Aziza
    Your arms and posture set the tone for how you are seen onstage—present, powerful, and undeniable. In this workshop we’ll explore frames, transitions, and fluid bodylines, with special attention to the hands and arms. We’ll refine the quality of movement itself—because if you want it to look different, it must first feel different.

    2-4 p.m.

    Around the World: Party-Pop Combos
    Travel through the music of the MENAT/SWANA region with fun, accessible ‘combo-ographies’ set to popular songs from across the area. This class is all about connection—connecting to the culture, the joy of dancing together at a hafla, and the energy of songs that get everyone on their feet. Simple, repeatable combos make it easy for all levels to join in, while gigging dancers will love having ready-to-go party pieces that light up the dance floor!

    We are also having a Gala Show on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 7.30 PM featuring our Headliner AZIZA alongside diverse and talented dancers. Our lineup has Kazakh/Persian, Lebanese, Indian, and Turkish representations. We have amazing artists coming from the USA and other parts of Canada, and of course our talented local gems. We are super excited to share all this talent with you. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 (space permitting - cash only) at the door.

In 2010 Aziza started an intensive weeklong called Dreamcamp. Now relocating to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Up to three times a year belly dancers from across the globe come together to train, eat, play, and dance together in a unique supportive environment. The success of Dreamcamp is measured by the high rate of returning dancers year after year!

Our Venue:

Workshops and the Gala Show will be held in the historic Winchester Street Theatre located in the heart of Old Toronto.
