Samba Darbuka Fusion: Rhythm, Energy & Expression
Get ready to explore an exciting fusion of Brazilian samba energy and the vibrant rhythms of Middle Eastern darbuka music! This workshop brings together the playful, dynamic movement quality of samba with the expressive hip work, isolations, and accents of belly dance. Participants will explore rhythmic interpretation, body coordination, and the contrast between fluid movements and sharp, percussive accents, discovering creative ways to connect movement with the music. Inspired by Fabi’s Brazilian roots and her background in belly dance, this fusion celebrates the meeting of two rich dance traditions in a fun, energetic, and expressive experience. Open to dancers who want to expand their musicality, challenge their coordination, and add a fresh perspective to their dance vocabulary.
